Hunter
Hunter is a one-street village on Route 23A in the Schoharie Creek valley, incorporated in 1896 on the site of William Edwards's tannery and now organised around the ski mountain that rises 1,600 vertical feet behind Main Street. The lifts are two miles from the village, Tannersville and Kaaterskill Falls are a few minutes east, and the whole town sits inside the Catskill Park at roughly 1,600 feet of elevation.
